Since RBI has applied a lot of rules for paypal, it may not be that easy either to start paypal account or to receive/send money via paypal. But once if you registered in paypal and maintains the account smoothly, it will be of great help since most of the online shopping portal prefers paypal.
You need to have below things to register in paypal:
- Pan Card
- Bank Account
- Debit/Credit card with CVV detail(3 or 4 digits printed at the back of your card beside your signature line)
How to setup a Paypal account:
- Go to www.paypal.com
- Click on ‘Sign up’ from the left pan below ‘Welcome to Paypal’.
- It will take you to a next screen. Select your country from the country list.
- If it is your first paypal experience, you may click ‘Get Started’ under personal. Later you can upgrade depending on the number of transactions you make via paypal.
- Fill the form just like you enter any email registration form. You have to enter ‘PAN card no’ in the Business Pan field.
- Click on ‘Agree and Create Account’ at the bottom of the screen.
- It will take you to the next screen. Now enter ‘Debit card number, expiry date, name as on bank account, cvv number’.
